Questions from US practices
What about HIPAA?
Velvet Lead includes clinical notes, with access limited to practitioners and admins by the database and an audit trail of every change and view. We don't make HIPAA compliance claims. If your practice must operate under HIPAA, talk to our team before storing clinical records, including about Business Associate Agreements with the hosting providers.
Do you send text message reminders?
Yes, reminders only. Clients who ask for a text when they book get an SMS reminder through Twilio. There's no two-way texting and no marketing texts.
Can clients pay deposits or buy gift cards online?
Deposits and gift vouchers, yes, on Stripe's secure page through your own Stripe account. A course of treatments is sold at your desk, where the system counts the sessions down. Memberships and recurring billing aren't available, and a full treatment bill is paid at the spa.
Which states do you work in?
States we currently serve: California, New York, New Jersey, Texas, Florida, Arizona, Illinois, Washington, Massachusetts and Colorado. Setup and training are done remotely.
Can the website be in Spanish?
Not yet. Websites are English only for now.
