Jenifer's Law (HB 3749), in effect since September 1, 2025, regulates elective IV therapy given outside a physician's office or licensed healthcare facility. A physician oversees the patient assessment and the prescribing or ordering, which can be delegated to a physician assistant or advanced practice registered nurse under supervision. Administration can be delegated to a PA, APRN or registered nurse under adequate supervision.
