This cookie policy explains how the Velvet Lead marketing website uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read together with our privacy policy.
It covers our own website only. Each clinic website we build has its own policies, which the clinic manages.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They let the site remember something between pages or visits, such as a setting you chose.
A first-party cookie is set by the website you are visiting. A third-party cookie is set by another company's service embedded in that website.
Our approach
We keep cookies to a minimum. We don't use advertising cookies, and we don't use cookies to follow you around other websites.
Our website analytics do not use cookies at all. The few cookies we set are first-party cookies that help the site work the way you expect and help us understand which campaigns bring enquiries.

Country preference

- Purpose: Remembers whether you chose Pakistan or the United States, so the site shows the right currency, examples and contact details.

Campaign and landing page
- Name:
vl_attribution - Set by: Velvet Lead (first-party)
- Purpose: Stores the first page you landed on, the website that referred you (if any) and, if you arrived through a link with campaign tags (UTM source, medium and campaign), those tags. It is set on your first visit and not overwritten by later visits. If you later send a demo or contact form, these details are saved with your enquiry so we know which campaign or channel brought you to us.
- Duration: 30 days
This is the same kind of lead source tracking our lead inbox gives clinics. We use it for our own marketing, not to build a profile of you.
Analytics without cookies
We use Vercel Analytics to understand how our website is used, such as which pages are visited most. It is privacy-friendly web analytics that works without cookies and does not track you across other websites.
Vercel also hosts our website. Like most hosts, it processes basic technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver pages and keep the site secure.
Third-party content
Scheduling widget
Some pages offer a Calendly scheduling widget (https://calendly.com/velvetleads/30min) so you can book a call with us. The widget only loads when you interact with it, for example by choosing to book a time.
Once it loads, Calendly may set its own cookies and collect the information you enter. Those cookies are controlled by Calendly under its own cookie and privacy policies, not by us. If you don't open the widget, it doesn't load.
Emails we send through Google (Gmail) may include standard features that show whether an email was delivered or opened, and which links were clicked. You can limit this in your email app, for example by blocking remote images.
Forms and consent
When you send a form on our website, the details you type, and the campaign details stored in the cookie above, are sent to our team by email together with your enquiry.
The marketing email checkbox on our demo form is unticked by default. We only send marketing emails if you tick it or sign up for our newsletter.
Managing cookies
You can control cookies in your browser settings. Most browsers let you:
- see which cookies are stored and delete them
- block cookies from some or all websites
- clear cookies when you close the browser
If you block or delete our cookies, the website will still work. You may need to choose your country again, and we won't be able to connect your enquiry to the campaign that brought you to us.

Changes to this policy
If we add, remove or change cookies, we will update this policy and the date at the top of the page. If we ever add cookies that need your consent, we will ask for it before setting them.
